Boutique Rugs carries area rugs and home décor in a wide range of styles. The useful way to shop is to begin with the room and the measurements, then narrow the catalogue by material, colour and care requirements. This guide focuses on the checks that matter before you place an order; it does not claim a fixed discount or price.

Measure the space before choosing a design

Measure the usable floor area and the furniture footprint, not just the wall-to-wall dimensions. In a living room, decide whether the rug should sit under every furniture leg, under only the front legs, or float beneath a coffee table. For a dining space, allow enough extra width for chairs to remain on the rug when pulled back.

Compare material and daily care

Appearance is only one part of the decision. Check the product page for fibre content, pile height, backing, cleaning instructions and whether a rug pad is recommended. Homes with pets, children or high foot traffic may prioritise easier maintenance, while a low-traffic bedroom may support a softer or higher-pile option.

Read the exact size selector

Similar designs can be offered in many dimensions and shapes. Confirm that the selected variant in the basket matches the measurements you planned. Also review product photographs with scale in mind: lifestyle images are useful for style, but the written dimensions are the reliable reference.

Review delivery and return terms

Large items can have different delivery and return conditions from smaller home goods. Check the merchant's current shipping estimate, any regional restrictions and the return instructions before payment. Keep the packaging until you know the colour and size work in the room.
